In order to hold a wedding in Hawaii, a license needs to be purchased from an agent or the Honolulu Marriage license office. The license only costs around $30. There are many destination wedding packages offered that can give you and your guests the best experiences ever.

As for the dress, you can be quite creative. When having a Hawaiian wedding, you can actually go with a theme. A wedding gown with a tank style top or spaghetti strap that is made of a silky and flowing material would be beautiful blowing in the ocean wind. The wedding party can wear Hawaiian shirts and those attending could wear leis if they like. A Hawaiian wedding definitely leaves room for creativity.

Bahamas

The Bahamas is a great place to hold a destination wedding. In fact, Nassau is a preferred destination because of its glorious beaches and the fact that it only takes a few hours to get to from the United States. There are many activities for the guests to enjoy that range from snorkeling to shopping.

As for the wedding dress, since the wedding will most likely be on a beach, something flowing without a train will work best. The wedding gown should be sleeveless and should probably fall more in the informal category of dresses.

St. Lucia

Getting married in the Caribbean is very exciting. All that is needed is a passport, and a marriage license costs $200 if youre getting married the same day you arrive. However, if you are going to be staying a couple of days before getting married, the cost is only $125.

As for the dress, the informal wedding dress is going to win out on this one as well. Actually, the informal dress with a nice flow and simple design is ideal for all of these locations. It shows that you are carefree and that you are comfortable. No one wants to travel to such an exotic destination and wear a high neckline and long sleeves. These destinations enable relaxation, so relaxation is what the bride should feel.
